A boiler feed pump is classified as the multistage pump, in the four to twelve stage range, pressure rides on stage count. They achieve the highest differential head among centrifugal pumps. Different from high pressure plunger pumps, multistage centrifugal boiler feed pumps can deliver a greater flow rate. Difference from other multistage pumps is that both oriented vertically upward, boiler feed pump casing types: horizontal axially split, segmental multi-stage, barrel casing, double barrel casing.
Firstly, the boiler heats water and generates a large amount of high-pressure steam. The high-pressure steam drives the turbine to generate electricity. Then it cooled down to 40℃, becoming condensate water. The condensate water is heated by the heater to about 160-180℃, and then passes through the deaerator for deoxygenation. After that, it is pressurized by the boiler feed pump and pumped into the boiler, and this cycle repeats. The boiler feed water pump is the heart of the process, playing the crucial role.
